As I’m sure you, your mom, and your cousin’s dog know, the ‘Royal’ Air Jordan 1 released today. Rumours swirled in the days and weeks leading up to the launch; some said they’d be a GR, some said they’d be impossible to get. I think it’s safe to say that the final verdict falls somewhere in the middle of that spectrum. It seems like everyone who really wanted a pair was able to scoop one. But it also seems like it took a decent amount of effort for most people to secure them.
For myself, the Royals have been a shoe that I’d been after for years. I missed out on the 2013 version, so when it was announced that they were coming out again with some amazing quality upgrades I was ecstatic.
There’s not much I can say about these that you don’t already know. If you purchased or have seen a pair of the 2016 ‘Banned’ Jordan 1’s, then you know all you need to know about these. The quality of the leather is outstanding, the ‘Nike Air’ branding on the insole, sole, and tongue tab are awesome, and the overall shape is perfect.
Thank you to the Jumpman not only for dropping these again, but for making sure that the execution was top notch.
